TERMS & CONDITIONS

FIND A ‘GOLDEN COLOURED CORK’ TO WIN £1,000!

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. This prize draw (the "Prize Draw”) is administered by Au Vodka Ltd (registered number: 09470442) incorporated in England and Wales in the United Kingdom with its registered office at Unit 25 Cwmdu Industrial Estate, Swansea, Wales, SA5 8JF (“Au Vodka, “we", “us” or “our”)

 

  1. Sainsbury’s Group Holdings Limited (registered number: 11833110) incorporated in England and Wales in the United Kingdom with its registered office at 33 Holborn, London, United Kingdom, EC1N 2HT (“Sainsbury’s”). Au Vodka and Sainsbury’s are joint promotors of the Prize Draw.

 

  1. By entering the Prize Draw, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions (the “Prize Draw T&Cs”) and we reserve the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the Prize (as defined in condition 10) to anyone in breach of these Prize Draw T&Cs.

 

HOW TO ENTER

  1. The Prize Draw is open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except employees of Sainsbury’s and/or Au Vodka, their families, agents and any third party directly associated with administration of the Prize Draw.

 

  1. Upon the purchase of a 70cl bottle of ‘Au Vodka Strawberry Burst’ (“Au Vodka Strawberry Burst”) from any Sainsbury’s store in the UK, you will automatically be entered into the Prize Draw. Purchases made online will not be eligible for the Prize Draw. Entrants must retain a copy of their purchase receipt to evidence their entry into the Prize Draw.

 

  1. Participants may enter the Prize Draw more than once for a higher chance of winning (i.e., each additional purchase of a bottle of ‘Au Vodka Strawberry Burst’ from a Sainsbury’s store will count as an additional entry to the Prize Draw.

OPENING AND CLOSING DATE

  1. The opening date for entries to the Prize Draw is 9am GMT on Friday 26 July 2024 (the “Opening Date”). The closing date for the Prize Draw is 9pm on Tuesday 31 December 2024 (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be counted.

CHOOSING AND IDENTIFYING THE WINNERS

  1. There will only be a total of five (5) winners of the Prize Draw (the “Prize Draw Winners”) who will, by chance, each find a ‘gold coloured cork’ when opening the ‘capsule/seal covering of a bottle of Au Vodka Strawberry Burst purchased from a Sainsbury’s. Finding a ‘gold coloured cork’ will identify a Prize Draw Winner. The Prize Draw Winners must contact bucknall@auvodka.co.uk and accounts@auvodka.co.uk via email, and must comply with Au Vodka’s instructions as regards providing sufficient evidence that they are in fact a Prize Draw Winner, such that will include without limitation sending their ‘gold coloured corks’ to Au Vodka via recorded post (i.e., Royal Mail), to enable Au Vodka to verify the winning entry of each Prize Draw Winner.

 

  1. Each Prize Draw Winner must contact the email addresses listed in condition 8 soon as reasonably practicable in order to claim their Prize (as defined in condition 10).

 

THE PRIZE

  1. Subject to the Prize Draw T&Cs, each of the Prize Draw Winners will receive £1,000 (the “Prize”).

 

  1. The Prize for each of the Prize Draw Winners is non-exchangeable, but Au Vodka reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Au Vodka’s control makes it necessary to do so, with no liability to any participants and/or third parties.

 

HOW AND WHEN WILL THE PRIZE DRAW WINNERS RECEIVE THEIR PRIZE

  1. Each of the Prize Draw Winners will receive their Prize within five (5) business days by bank transfer, in each case upon receipt by Au Vodka from a verified Prize Draw Winner of their verified bank details and upon Au Vodka’s verification of the winning entry of each Prize Draw Winner pursuant to condition ‎8.

 

WHO IS SUPPLYING THE PRIZE

  1. Subject to the Prize Draw T&Cs, Au Vodka shall provide the Prize to each of the Prize Draw Winners.

 

OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS

  1. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the Prize Draw T&Cs upon entry to the Prize Draw, and Au Vodka reserve the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the Prize to anyone in breach of the Prize Draw T&Cs.

 

  1. Au Vodka accept no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a fault of any kind.

 

  1. The decision of Au Vodka regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding, and no correspondence with participants will be entered into about it.

 

  1. Au Vodka will publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place, subject to requests received within one (1) month after the Closing Date.

 

  1. If any participants to the Prize Draw would like to object to any or all of their surname, county and winning entry being published or made available (if required), they may contact Au Vodka at legal@auvodka.com to confirm this. In such circumstances, Au Vodka will still need to provide the information and winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority (i.e., the UK’s independent regulator for advertising) on reasonable request.

 

  1. Subject to condition 18, personal data supplied to Au Vodka during the course of the Prize Draw will only be processed to administer the giveaway or as otherwise set out in these Prize Draw T&Cs or in Au Vodka’s Privacy Policy.

 

  1. Au Vodka reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Prize Draw where it may become necessary to do so, without any liability to any entrants and / or third parties.

 

  1. Insofar as is permitted by law, Au Vodka will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Prize Draw Winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of the Prize Draw Winners taking up the prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of Au Vodka. Participants statutory rights will not be affected.

 

  1. The Prize Draw T&Cs and the Prize Draw is governed by English law. If any entrants to the Prize Draw wishes to take court proceedings, then they are required to do so, under the Prize Draw T&Cs, within the courts in the UK.
