Au Vodka Run Club - Terms & FAQs

By attending and participating in an Au Run Club event (the “Event”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1) Participation and Personal Responsibility

  • The Event is an informal recreational run/walk. You participate voluntarily and at your own risk.

  • You should run or walk at a comfortable pace and only participate to a level suitable for your fitness and ability.

  • If you feel unwell, injured, or unsure at any point, you should slow down, stop, or walk, and notify a marshal if assistance is needed.

  • If you are unsure about your fitness to take part, you are encouraged to walk instead of run or choose not to participate.

2) Health, Medical Conditions, and Medication

  • You are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit to take part.

  • If you have asthma or any other medical condition, you should bring any required medication (e.g., inhalers) and keep it with you during the Event.

3) Route and Staying Together

  • The Event route is a clearly defined 5km out-and-back.

  • The turn point will be marshalled by Au staff, and a pre-run briefing will explain the route.

  • Participants are responsible for following the route and staying aware of their surroundings.

  • If you become lost or separated, you should stop and contact a marshal (details provided at the briefing).

4) Traffic and General Safety

  • The Event route uses cycle and walking paths only.

  • No road crossings are required as part of the planned route.

  • Even so, you must remain alert and considerate of other path users (pedestrians, cyclists, etc.).

5) Marshals and Event Support

  • Marshals will be present to support the Event and may carry mobile phones.

  • Marshals can contact emergency services if required, but marshals are not medical professionals and cannot provide medical treatment beyond basic assistance.

6) Emergency Procedures

  • In an emergency, 999 will be called.

  • Marshals will be provided with location details in advance to support an effective response.

  • The Event Lead is responsible for coordinating the response where possible.

7) Acknowledgement of Risk

  • With the control measures in place, the Event is considered low risk, suitable for participants of varying abilities.

  • You acknowledge that running/walking carries inherent risks (including injury or medical events) and agree to take reasonable care for your own safety.

8) Acceptance

By attending the Event, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions and will follow marshal instructions and the pre-run briefing.
